@Milind Bhide: NDTV's job is to REPORT a news. Not become a social worker/law enforcement volunteer. When your party leaders stash black money and spend 500 crore in wedding why dont your Modi hand him over to police ?? Hypocrisy !
@Milind Bhide: Rule of investigative journalism. Do not give out sources. And if it was not for these reports goverment would be even further in catch up in a very ill planned move
@Milind Bhide: @Milind Bhide: you fool, have some empathy to understand what people are going through. This don't care attitude will not do any good to anyone. Small to medium sized companies project manage change so well by anticipating repercussions. And now this arrogant government put its hands in hornet's nest without any preplanning and bungled execution. An idea is as good as it's execution. Alas, Rome is on fire and it is feeding on itself.
@Milind Bhide: People have stopped spending to bare necessary things as they are cash starved. you are not as intelligent as you think you are :)
That's a journalism practice in such scenarios if the interviewee asks for it. Again, dont think too much, your head will hurt
@Milind Bhide: Now the Bank Branches this has happened will be under scanner and the cc TV footage will be examined and the Bank official will be brought to book. If the CCTV have not function the Branch head will be in deep trouble. These launders will also get booked.
Such an idiotic move of the Modi government, without well thought out back up plan, it has rather opened doors for another level of corruption. So many poor people are being collectively punished because of governments' inability to catch a few percentage of black money holders among the population.
@Anonymous: true bro..... I say it will do no good. Because the true evil lies not within the notes or currencies that is utilized. But rather it lies in the hearts of the one using it .
Only handful of people like you has problem with the Modi Government. Majority supports the decision. You will sooner or later understand what is good for the nation.
Its that its ingrained in our blood to think and act nefarious. We dont want things to improve. That poor lady, easily disguising with the cloak of financial incapacity to help the fraud. Is the act of self-deterrence to help fraudsters so hard? If people like her cannot resist easy money how can we question the netas, babus egging on easy money?
I feel Indian mindset is its own downfall. We dont want to pay taxes, we want government spending, we want to hide from tax net, but we want action on black money. We dont want to stand in Queues, but we complain long waiting time(long waiting as I noticed is due to unorganised movement in queue for 90% of time), we dont want to follow traffic rules, lane following but we complain about accidents and lack of infrastructure, we litter every where but we complain how dirty our cities are.
Indians are the worst form of hypocrites. Its the mindset of Indians that has to change, not politicians or governance. After all the politicians are also one among us.
IT is a well known fact that this kind of loop hole will be intentionally left open for the black money hoarders to convert their black. Please enact a law that ensures that any bank employee including the manager liable for dismissal from service without any retirement benefits..
Instead of helping government to spread knowledge about how people can avoid these vultures you are spreading news about failure of government to manage after effect of Note ban. You mentioned "NDTV managed to meet a property agent-turned-money launderer who admitted that large tranches of currency was being swapped illegally and, in several cases, with the participation of bank officials.", could you pass this info to right government department so that they can take actions. If they failed to do you should show failure news against them.
I used to be very big fan of NDTV but sadly after watching always negative news I lost interest in NDTV. Please do retrospective and act like old NDTV.
A genuine question to the reporter, did you report these things to a near by police station? I mean, don't you think it's your responsibility to stop such things.
Reporter is doing her job well done!Didn't government know that they are dealing with the issue over 1 billion people? I do not know why Rs.2000/- notes introduced?
Too much population..every one needs food..people of this country need to think..if they want healthy india..control population or rogues will be created automatically by this system and need to live...
